RGB Inspection
Video installation, Art at the Junction, Khan Theater, Jerusalem, 2004
Curators: Sala-Manca
Three video cams, three projectors, PVC-strip screen
Real-time video installation at the opening event of the experimental video sector of the Jerusalem Film Festival, titled Real Time in the Age of Lie.
Having passed through the security inspection at the entrance to the Khan Theatre compound in Jerusalem, the visitors were dazzled by three (red, green and blue) projectors in the hallway leading to the theatre. At the same time, they were documented by three video cameras positioned in different sides of the hallway. The images captured by the cameras were simultaneously projected on a PVC-strip curtain, creating a multidimensional kaleidoscopic image of the figures moving through the hallway. Through this curtain, and through their own images, the visitors moved from the hallway to the theatre’s inner courtyard.
